last week, we had mid-term test. and today we learned many things.
the key point is People often interact with media technologies as though the technologies were people.
related point is ethics, aesthetics , teleology and design.
And we learned about the history of HCI.
history of HCI as tools: people- for example, as we know, Vannevar Bush's memex. and Doug Engelbart's mouse, GUI, word processing, etc.

and then we realized algorithm.
algorithm is famous by us. because we learn math. it is just calculation.
if we select yes, it operate formula.
Ethnomethodology
it simply means the study of the ways in which people make sense of their social world.
Ethnomethodology differs from other sociological perspectives in one very important respect- Ethnomethodologists assume that social order is illusory. They believe that social life merely appears to be orderly; in reality it is potentially chaotic.

in that time, we learned about artificial Intelligence.
Do you know alan turing? Turing is often considered to be the father of modern computer science. and he is founder of computer science, artificial intelligence, mathematician, philosopher, codebreaker, and a gay man.
he did many things. for example, 1949- First serious mathematical use of a computer.
specially, turing's imitation game is famous.
“It is [the man's] object in the game to try and cause [the interrogator] to make the wrong identification.” “The object of the game for [the woman] is to help the interrogator.”
in earnest, artificial intelligence [AI] is the science of making machines do things that would require intelligence [as] if done by [humans]
and it works Knowledge Representation, Programming Languages, Natural Language (e.g., Story) Understanding, Speech Understanding, Vision, Robotics, Machine Learning ,Planning and etc.
but it has ploblems with technical, problems with story generation: missing common sense.

but it is so fantastic. because I have known Alan turing, imitation game. and then I was surprised with intelligence. it is connected by computer.

we learned social network. and social network include many kinds of parts.and the key point is ⑴New media technologies usually reinforce existing social networks or even work to isolate people.
⑵ (BUT) When new media technologies facilitate new social networks, they simultaneously challenge existing social, political and economic relationships.

in that time, I don't realize meaning network of society exactly. but i'm understand whole meaning.specially, that culture is connected by computer is surprised for me. because it means computer invade(?) individuality. in a sense i'm so afraid. in future, we really occupied technology. computer connect our life deeply. but we think that is just man-made.
